Dr. Phillip DeJesus
Dr. DeJesus is committed to providing quality education for dental assistant students entering the exciting field of dentistry. He participates in continuing education to keep up with the state of the art dentistry. This includes 1300 hours in all phases of dentistry, including implants and cosmetic dentistry. He received his fellowship award from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in June of 2005. In 2014, he achieved Mastership status from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). This status is only achieved by approximately 1% of general dentists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Bridgeport Dental Association. He received the association’s Fellowship Award during the AGD 2013 Annual Meeting & Exhibits, held in Nashville, Tenn. The AGD Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession.
Dr. DeJesus graduated from Fordham University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 1992 he graduated from S.U.N.Y StonyBrook School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. He was accepted to one of the most demanding general practice residency programs in the United States, at St. Barnabas Hospital, in NYC. He spent 2 years as a resident, the second of which was as Chief Resident of the entire program in 1994.
Dr. DeJesus is also very active in the community. He serves as a board member for a local little league and currently manages and coaches several boys’ baseball and basketball teams. He is certified by the Positive Coaching Alliance and thoroughly enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with his wife and four children.

Maria takes exceptional pride in providing the best education for dental assistants in Connecticut. Her goal is to provide a friendly and positive learning environment for students to excel in their future dental assisting career. Besides leading the school, Maria is a lead administrator at DeJesus Dental Group.
